It is a useful gift for a fisherman or fly tyer, and it fits a fly tying area or fishing-themed room. Birthdays and Christmas are easy occasions for a fly fishing key rack like this one.

About the steel

The rack is cut from 16 gauge hot-rolled mild steel, made from 100% American steel, which is recyclable. Hot-rolled steel carries a thin black oxide layer (magnetite) that gives it a dark gray-blue tint and a natural patina. Raw steel can look different from our photos, and the finish varies from piece to piece.

Handmade details

Each hook is bent by hand, so the finished height varies slightly. After cutting we hand grind the edges smooth, but the edges can still be sharp, and grind or scratch marks may remain on the cutlines and edges. That is part of the handmade look.
