About WoodNSparks
WoodNSparks is a small family shop in Arlee, Montana, a few miles north of Missoula. We make metal and wood wall art, key racks and wooden garden markers by hand and ship them across the United States.
How our signs are made
Every sign starts as a sheet of hot-rolled American steel. We cut each design on our own laser in the shop, then mount the steel on reclaimed wood so the wood color shows through the cutout. The wood comes from offcuts left over from our other wood projects, so the grain, knots and color vary a little from piece to piece. No two signs are exactly alike.
Most signs are 5.5 inches square and about 1 inch deep, with a D-ring on the back so they hang on a single nail. We also make 12.5 inch tall and wide versions of many designs. Wood colors include White, Plain Natural Wood, Sunset, Sunrise, Sunny Days and Glacier Water.
Garden markers
Our wooden garden markers are laser-cut and engraved birch plant stakes for garden beds, pots and raised beds. They were featured in Better Homes & Gardens' Farmhouse at Heart magazine.

Shipping and returns, in short
- Everything is made to order and usually ships within about a week. Delivery is typically 5 to 8 business days after that, with tracking sent by email.
- Shipping is free on US orders of $30 or more; orders under $30 ship for a flat $4.95. We ship to US addresses only.
- Because each piece is made to order we do not accept returns or exchanges. If something arrives damaged or wrong, email us within 7 days of delivery with a photo and we will send a replacement at no cost.
